The gmsipci.sys process is a system file that belongs to the components of the firmware and driver software packages bundled with certain MSI hardware components and devices. The content of the gmsipci.sys file includes a set of sequential command lines, application-specific instructions, system module references and program-specific mudle directives that are used by the firmware and driver software components of some MSI motherboards and devices. The source code stored in the gmsipci.sys file is integrated with program logic compilation specifications and encoded with data storage standards that are normally implemented into content saved in the SYS file format. The gmsipci.sys file is implemented with support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows and Linux distributions.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gmsipci.sys. is used by MSI Device Driver Component, If you shut down gmsipci.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
