The file getplusplus_adobe.exe, known as getPlus+, belongs to software Adobe Download Manager by NOS Microsystems. A download manager is a computer program dedicated to the task of downloading and sometimes uploading stand-alone files to and from the Internet. The Adobe Download Manager works directly with Adobe servers to help users manage the process of downloading Adobe Reader, Adobe FlashPlayer, Adobe Acrobat tryout software and other Adobe files. The Download Manager is a small file that is automatically installed when downloading Adobe Flash Player or Adobe Reader for Windows from Adobe's website. Once it is launched, it starts downloading the software installer to the computer. After the download has been completed, the Download Manager removes itself from the computer at the next restart. Adobe has already discontinued the use of the Download Manager for Adobe FlashPlayer and for Adobe Reader.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. getplusplus_adobe.exe. is used by Adobe Download Manager, If you shut down getplusplus_adobe.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop getplusplus_adobe.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Adobe Download Manager, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Adobe Download Manager, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
