What is  gdiwxp.dll

The file gdiwxp.dll is a direct link library (dll) file, which contains code, images, and other binary data that different software can use. A dll file like gdiwxp.dll allows programs to share code, effectively reducing the memory requirements when running multiple applications. The dll is loaded only in the memory when required, and can be removed again to make room for other codes. The file gdiwxp.dll can be a legitimate file that contains native executable codes, but it can be used by malware to camouflage itself. Some errors associated with the gdiwxp.dll are due to a variant of the Troj/Haxdoor Trojan that uses the gdiwxp.dll to hide itself. This backdoor Trojan allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer. It has the capability to camouflage its files, registry entries, processes and services, and to disable other software, including anti-virus, firewall, and security related information. The Troj/Haxdoor has the capability to prevent its deletion from the system.
