Fssm32.exe is the executable file for F-Secure Scanner Manager, an antivirus software for 32-bit Windows platforms. It runs in the background and monitors the browsing activities of the computer to block and remove new and unknown malware intrusions. It provides advanced monitoring technology based on unusual and suspicious changes in the system without affecting the user’s experience and usage. F-Secure protects the components of the computer and safeguards the system when the user browses the Web and automatically controls the level of strength of the system during incoming data flow particularly when online. System security is the protection against viruses, malware, spyware, hacker attacks or identity theft. Harmful websites and cyber fraud, as well as activities that fool children are some of the top line protection F-Secure provides users. It installs easily, does not slow the computer down, and does not consume large amount of system resources such as disk space, memory and power units.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fssm32.exe. is used by F-Secure Scanner Manager, If you shut down fssm32.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fssm32.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is F-Secure Scanner Manager, from your system.
