The file fsrw.exe, known as F-Secure System Control, belongs to software F-Secure Anti-Virus from F-Secure. F-Secure Anti-Virus is security software that clean up malware infestations, block new malware attacks, and monitor suspicious behavior from unknown threats. The software installs easily, but the software installer removes all other anti-virus software that is previously installed since most antivirus systems interfere with each other. The program interface provides easy navigation and allows the user to adjust settings and schedule specific scans. The straightforward malware detection and removal tools work effectively to eliminate viruses, spyware, Trojans, worms and rootkits from the system. F-Secure Anti-virus features on-access scanning that employs heuristics and pro-active protection against zero hour threats that are undetected by current virus signatures. The on-access scanning feature automatically scans all files accessed or opened in the computer, while the program's DeepGuard protection network collects new threats in the cloud in order to maintain the system clean from new and emerging threats.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fsrw.exe. is used by F-Secure Anti-Virus, If you shut down fsrw.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fsrw.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is F-Secure Anti-Virus, from your system.
