What is  fsblsrv.exe

The file fsblsrv.exe, known as F-Secure BlackLight Sensor Service, belongs to software F-Secure BlackLight Sensor by F-Secure. BlackLight Sensor is free software that detects and eliminates rootkits. It scans and analyzes PC folders, files and hidden folders to search for signs of rootkit infection. It produces a list that names possible rootkits in the inspected files, giving a comprehensive report that includes the file description, the company that made the file, the file location, and other related information. Rootkit is an application or set of applications that hides its presence or the presence of another malware in the lower layer of the operating system. The infected system could be an API function redirection or an undocumented operating system, which makes rootkit detection difficult. The rootkit enables someone, either legitimate or malicious, to take control of the computer. Legitimate rootkits are utilized for the remote monitoring and remote command of workstations in an enterprise while malicious rootkits are used to spy on the user's computing activities.
