The file fpdisp5a.exe, known as FinePrint, belongs to software FinePrint Dispatcher (version v5) by FinePrint Software. FinePrint Dispatcher is a core module for the FinePrint software that handles the spooling of print to the printer. FinePrint is a Windows printer driver that provides advanced printing capability, which enables user to create booklets, print double sided on any printer, and creates new documents by combining print jobs together. It has the capability to add electronic overlay such as letterheads or invoice templates, saving users the cost of pre-printed stationery and the cost of wastage when designs are changed. Other features of this printer utility include the capability to add new text into headers, footers and watermarks, addition of automatic content such as page number, date, time and other data that identifies and improves the document, and the capability to manipulate pages before printing by changing gutters and margins or removing unwanted pages. It has the capability to print Web pages with non-standard page size by automatically rescaling to A4.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fpdisp5a.exe. is used by FinePrint, If you shut down fpdisp5a.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fpdisp5a.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is FinePrint, from your system.
