The extradrv.sys file is a process that is used by the application ExtraDrv. The location of this system file is in the C;\Windows\System32\drivers folder. The size of the file is 36,352 bytes. You can access the program und.er Services on the Windows Control Panel. It is not a visible program. The extradrv.sys file has no digital signature. This process automatically starts on drivers installed. EXTRA Driver is a complete driver application that supports the tracking and routing system of Elite EXTRA. The driver only requires an application to start its function. It will sign in as available and immediately start tracking. It will check for the route upon its dispatch, and the manifest will be downloaded to the program. It will enable reports for deliveries, arrivals and departures. The times are noted in real time. It increases driver compliance by eliminating the need to run two applications.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. extradrv.sys. is used by ExtraDrv, If you shut down extradrv.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop extradrv.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ExtraDrv, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as ExtraDrv, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
