The file epstssrv.exe, known as ESC/POS Status Service, belongs to software ESC/POS Status Service by Seiko Epson. Epson manufactures a series of POS printers that is supported by the executable file ESC/POS Status Service. Point of sale (POS) printers uses thermal paper for the fast printing of up to 300 mm/second for both text and graphics. Restaurants, banks, retail and other heavy use environments benefit from the use of these printers that are easy to use and feature a dual interface. POS printers utilize thermal printing, which is a digital printing process that produces a printed image by selectively heating coated thermochromic paper or thermal paper when the paper passes over the thermal print head. The coating turns black in the areas where it is heated to produces an image. Thermal printing is notable for being a form of printing that does not require the use of ink.
