The file epgspoolersrv.exe belongs to software Pinnacle MediaCenter, which is software that turns the PC into an all-in-one entertainment center. This software turns the PC into a combined jukebox, personal video recorder, TV, photo-slideshow projector, and DVD player. The MediaCenter is a driver for Pinnacle PCTV 100e, which is a tiny external USB 2.0 analogue TV receiver that enables the PC to access channels directly through a standard TV aerial connection. The set-up requires a spare TV aerial socket or a portable aerial that provides good signals. The software provides an automatic scan option that searches for live TV channels or scanning can be done manually as with most PVR control panels. The remote can be used to navigate the MediaCenter GUI that provides the user access to a range of media files on the PC. It plays back MP3, WAV, and WMA music files but does not support files protected by DRM licensing. It supports a number of video standards including MPEG 1, 2, and 4 as well as DV-AVI, Xvid, and WMV9.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. epgspoolersrv.exe. is used by Pinnacle MediaCenter, If you shut down epgspoolersrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
