The epfwtdir.sys is a system file that contains program logic data used by the ESET NOD32 Antivirus software, which is a Windows application that is generally classified as a system security program. The program logic data stored in the epfwtdir.sys file includes sequential lines of commands, modular resource directives and application-specific instructions that are encoded with source code compilation specifications normally implemented into program logic content stored in the SYS file format. The ESET NOD32 Antivirus program is integrated with a set of functionalities for detecting possibly malicious code that has entered the system in the form of an application, an applet or a file. Once detected, the ESET NOD32 Antivirus software prompts the user for a set of options that the user can select to quarantine detected items, attempt to heal the malicious applications, remove/delete the items or ignore them. The epfwtdir.sys is normally stored in the application folder where ESET NOD32 Antivirus was installed, which is under the Program Files directory of the system partition.
