What is  epfwtdir.sys

The epfwtdir.sys is a system file that contains program logic data used by the ESET NOD32 Antivirus software, which is a Windows application that is generally classified as a system security program. The program logic data stored in the epfwtdir.sys file includes sequential lines of commands, modular resource directives and application-specific instructions that are encoded with source code compilation specifications normally implemented into program logic content stored in the SYS file format. The ESET NOD32 Antivirus program is integrated with a set of functionalities for detecting possibly malicious code that has entered the system in the form of an application, an applet or a file. Once detected, the ESET NOD32 Antivirus software prompts the user for a set of options that the user can select to quarantine detected items, attempt to heal the malicious applications, remove/delete the items or ignore them.
