The ekdiscovery.exe file is a necessary file to run your Kodak All-In-One printer. It is not recommended by users to uninstall or disable the program, especially for printer- and scanner-heavy users. The file is part of the driver and installer that came with your Kodak printer. The software provides a program to run applications from the printer to the PC, and vice-versa. Runtime errors have been reported, which are mainly found to be the result of out-of-date MSXML file. Error message in this regard is displayed as such: “Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Kodak\AiO\Center\ekdiscovery.exe.” Users who have updated the file found no other issues with the software. The program uses at least 14MB of RAM. No inputs were found on how the program affects Windows processes; whether or not it interferes with the speed or functions of systems processes. On the average, users found the software to be a necessary tool in fully utilizing Kodak printers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ekdiscovery.exe. is used by Kodak All-In-One Service Centre, If you shut down ekdiscovery.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ekdiscovery.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Kodak All-In-One Service Centre, from your system.
