What is  eetu.exe

The file eetu.exe, also called aida, is a component of an advertising program from the company PurityScan that takes note of the user's Internet surfing behavior. PurityScan is a program distributed by an advertising company called Clickspring LLC for the stated purpose of scanning the computer and removing any hidden pornographic material. When this program is loaded into the computer, it performs a scan and displays a list of files containing suspected sites while at the same time installing a copy of itself in the Windows Startup folder. This spyware gathers information from users and relays these to the servers of the process authors where these will be studied. The file eetu.exe is also known to display numerous unsolicited popups when the user is online. It is a security risk that should be removed from the computer to prevent infection from other malware that it may install, and to remove the security threat posed by the recording of the user's browsing habits.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. eetu.exe. is used by PurityScan, If you shut down eetu.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop eetu.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is PurityScan, from your system.
