Realtek EAPPkt Protocol Driver or NDIS User mode I/O Driver is the service name of the process eappkt.sys, which is a driver file, and is a component of the software product called Realtek EAPPkt Protocol or Windows (version 2000 DDK driver), which is created by Windows or Realtek. When the program is installed onto the computer, eappkt.sys is among the components that are downloaded, stored on a file folder, registered into the Windows registry, and run as a background service. The eappkt.sys file usually runs in certain versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME. It is important to keep the file running in the background, and must not be terminated, unless it is causing problems or errors that affect the performance system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. eappkt.sys. is used by Realtek EAPPkt Protocol or Windows, If you shut down eappkt.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
