The e_faticae.exe process is an EXE application resource component that belongs to the executable program files used by the Epson Status Monitor software. This program is classified as a Windows application bundled with the firmware distributions and device driver software components of certain Epson printing device models. The e_faticae.exe file is placed in the system alongside the other components of the Epson Status Monitor software upon the installation of the firmware and driver software resources of these associated Epson printers. This means the e_faticae.exe process is integrated into the installer distribution packages of these Epson device driver software components and firmware resources. The other components that are unloaded unto the system by these firmware and device driver software components, aside from the e_faticae.exe file and other executable program files, include certain SYS driver utilities, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific background process items and various resource files. The Epson Status Monitor software provides a set of tools that can allow the user to determine the ink levels of the ink cartridges of the Epson printer as well as to implement head cleaning and alignment maintenance tasks unto the Epson printing device.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. e_faticae.exe. is used by Epson Status Monitor v3, If you shut down e_faticae.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop e_faticae.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Epson Status Monitor v3, from your system.
