Otherwise called as BrStDvPt as its service name, the brstdvpt.exe process is an example of an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the software product called Brother MFL-Pro Suite or Able2Extract, which is developed by Brother Industries Ltd. The Brother MFL-Pro Suite program, which is a type of a printing, copying and scanning application (all in one), is installed onto the computer, and its components, including brstdvpt.exe, are downloaded as well. The brstdvpt.exe file is stored on a file folder, registered into the Windows registry with the run identifier 'SetDefPrt' and execution command 'C:\Program Files\Brother\Brmfl04g\BrStDvPt.exe'. Like other modules, brstdvpt.exe is a Windows file, which implies that it works with all, if not, most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, also known as Windows operating systems, or Windows OS, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. brstdvpt.exe. is used by Brother MFL-Pro Suite or Able2Extract, If you shut down brstdvpt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop brstdvpt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Brother MFL-Pro Suite or Able2Extract, from your system.

Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
