The process bpx.exe is an executable file that is associated with the Backup Platinum Agent, a program developed by the SoftlLogica LLC, which is included in Backup Platinum. The bpx.exe file is a simple tool created especially for Microsoft Windows, where it creates a copy of the user’s data unto a storage media like flash drives, external hard drives, CDs or DVDs. The module bpx.exe makes use of a ZIP compression and file encryption in keeping the user’s backup files in a small and secured location. The process bpx.exe is able to run on a service mode under Windows NT/XP/2000/2003 in executing scheduled duties even if the user in not logged in. The bpx.exe application enables the user to put in as many folders and files as the user needs to a solo backup device, as well as exclude subfolders and files by the use of the Filter Settings key.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bpx.exe. is used by Backup Platinum Agent, If you shut down bpx.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bpx.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Backup Platinum Agent, from your system.
