The bcuservice.exe file is a Windows process termed as Browser Configuration Utility Service, also Browser Configuration Utility Auto-recovery Service, and a component of Browser Configuration Utility, which is a program developed by DeviceVM, Inc. This type of executable file is digitally signed by the same company, DeviceVM, Inc., VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2. Any digitally signed file that is stored on the computer is not recommended to be removed, unless it is uninstalled properly. When the software Browser Configuration Utility is downloaded on the system, the bcuservice.exe file is also installed, and stores itself on a particular folder location, mostly in C:\Program Files, and runs automatically during Windows startup, but may be also launched manually at anytime the user needs to. Once stored, this file must not be removed and kept running in the background. Otherwise, it can cause errors that may disable the program from properly working.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bcuservice.exe. is used by Browser Configuration Utility, If you shut down bcuservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bcuservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Browser Configuration Utility, from your system.
