AxCrypt Encryption Server or AxCrypt File Encryption is the term used to describe the process axcrypt.exe, which is found among the essential components of the software product known as AxCrypt, which is developed by Axantum Software AB. The axcrypt.exe is actually the main component of the AxCrypt program, and is generally designed to launch in the background of the computer system once it has been downloaded. In a more specific sense, the axcrypt.exe process is basically module that is used as an open-source file encryption tool, by allowing a computer user to compress, encrypt or decrypt, store, edit, and send files. Aside from being a core component of the software, axcrypt.exe is digitally signed from Axantum Software AB - Comodo Time Stamping Signer, and it is advisable to remain stored to continue executing itself in the background, whenever the program is opened or launched by the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. axcrypt.exe. is used by AxCrypt, If you shut down axcrypt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop axcrypt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AxCrypt, from your system.
