What is  avpm.exe

The avpm.exe process file is used by the application Kaspersky Anti-Virus as an accessory program. Kaspersky Lab is the developer of this software. The avpm.exe process supports the software by detecting malicious applications acquired through the Internet. It consumes 622 kilobytes of RAM or random access memory during operation. This process uses an icon on the system tray. The user can check the program status by simply pointing on the icon using the mouse cursor. This avmpm.exe file is not required to automatically run upon startup although it is capable of doing so. The user can enable or disable this function on system configuration menu. The user can manually activate this executable file. The location of avpm.exe file is in %C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Labs\avpm.exe%. It uses minimal resources from the CPU. It runs in the background while the user is running other applications. The Kaspersky Anti-Virus Suite protects the computer from worms and viruses that may infect the system during Internet connection.
