Most reports from anti-virus programs have classified the avmete.dll file as a malware such as Kaspersky that has identified it as Trojan.Win32.BHO.abo. This DLL file is found in the folder C:\Windows\System32. known sizes for the file include 89,856 bytes, 116,480 bytes, 91,136 bytes and 84,992 bytes with 40% occurrence. This dynamically loaded or linked file is a BHO or browser helper object that automatically loads when you start up the Internet browser. Personal firewalls usually do not block these BHOs because they are identified by the firewall as the browser itself. It can monitor and alter activities on your browser. It can get personal information as used by adware or spyware. IDs associated with this BHO include B9E6D79D-7B78-4F01-A928-4112F9399249, 681E5C79-7D6E-46B1-98CE-D840784589CC, C5F1AF19-153E-4D0D-8DFD-F28924175F59 and 37600979-A50D-48EC-8AF9-A7BCCB48F6EE. This program is not visible to the user. It can change or start a process. It can also inject codes into other programs.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avmete.dll. is used by Trojan.Win32.BHO.abo, If you shut down avmete.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop avmete.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan.Win32.BHO.abo, from your system.
