Otherwise known as AVG Command-line Scanning Utility, the file avgscanx.exe is one of the components of the program AVG Internet Security, a security software product created by AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o, or AVG Technologies, which is a traded company used to know as Grisoft. AVG Internet Security is a PC protection against viruses, worms, spyware, malware, and other threats that affect or infect the computer programs and files. AVG Command-line Scanning Utility, or avgscanx.exe, is related to the scanning function of the program, which is quite important as it helps detect malicious files. Therefore, this file needs to continue to run in the background, unless it is causing problems or errors that may harm the performance and stability of the software. But as long as it is not a problem within the software, avgscanx.exe runs as a background process in Windows computers and laptops, with importance, plus digitally signed by AVG Technologies - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avgscanx.exe. is used by AVG Internet Security, If you shut down avgscanx.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop avgscanx.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AVG Internet Security, from your system.
