What is  asghost.exe

The process asghost.exe is also known as the Global Virtual Card Host and it is owned by Cognizance or Bioscrypt. The Global Virtual Card Host is a security control process, which is associated with certain Credential/Access Managers for hardware that is provided by Cognizance; it is now acquired by L-1 Identity Solutions (which is usually OEM fingerprint readers). The process is not a Windows system file and the program has no visible window. It can be uninstalled with the Control Panel and is a non-system process. It is a non-essential process, however, it is recommended that it should not be terminated unless it is suspected to cause problems for the user’s computer system. The process has a technical security rating of 25% dangerous, making it relatively safe to use. It does not present any potential harm to the user’s PC system, however, precautions should still be practiced. It can be useful for the user to maintain in his or her system as it can provide security control.
