The process aoldial.exe is an executable file that supports the AOL Internet application software which enables the users to dial into the Internet smoothly. The file aoldial.exe is not hardware related program. This file is located in [%c:\Program file\AOL Internet\aodial.exe%]. The aoldial.exe process provides the AOL Internet Software an IMs or instant message setting that are usually routed first to the AOL service, and then forwarded the message to the recipient. This process uses an enhanced instant message features like sending instant messages directly from one computer to another. This feature is a licensed Direct IM that requires a peer to peer communication between the computer of the user and the other computer. Also, AOL Internet Software enables the user to change five different colors depending on the user's choice. Moreover, AOL Internet Software has a panel icon which enables the user to navigate quickly to his or her own mailbox at AOL@mail. This panel icon has a one-click access to its products and features, which also delivers a sneak peek of relevant information for each feature.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aoldial.exe. is used by AOL Internet Software, If you shut down aoldial.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
