An executable file aodassist.exe is also known as the AMD Overdrive Utility belongs to the AMD Overdrive software. The software is from the Advance Micro Devices Company. The file can usually be located in the C: directory and under the Program Files folder. The size of the file is usually 136,616 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). But the size of the file may vary when installed in different versions of Operating System such as the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file does not provides the user with an interface on which the user may configure the behavior of the file. The file is not a Versigned signed file which means that the file is not from the trusted file of the Microsoft Windows Operating System. This means that the file can be removed from the Personal Computer (PC).However, the user may remove the file by removing the entire program in which the file is associated with.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aodassist.exe. is used by AMD External Events, If you shut down aodassist.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop aodassist.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AMD External Events, from your system.
