Programs and files are stored in a computer’s folder or certain locations in the system. They have roles that affect the performance of a Windows operating system. The afcontroller.exe is an executable file owned by the HotSpot Shield software. Its developer is yet to be determined. The afcontroller.exe is normally found in an unknown directory. If the file is found to be located in another folder, it may be that the user chose to have selected another path for installing the software. Under certain circumstances, this can also be an indication of a virus pretending to be the file afcontroller.exe. This file, afcontroller.exe, is part of the program Hotspot Shield from the manufacturer Anchor Free, an online company that performs several tasks like loading ad banners from the Internet. If afcontroller.exe is found in the Windows startup folder, it can slow down a PC’s performance. Computer analysts recommend that users turn this off from auto starting.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. afcontroller.exe. is used by HotSpot Shield, If you shut down afcontroller.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop afcontroller.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HotSpot Shield, from your system.
