Called by the service name ADSMSrv, the process adsmsrv.exe, a type of an executable or EXE file, is a part of the program known as ASUS Data Security Manager, sometimes also referred to as ADSMSrv, which is developed by ASUSTek Computer Inc. ASUS Data Security Manager is a type of a utility tool for computer system that houses the adsmsrv.exe file, which is digitally signed by the same company ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2, and as a digitally signed process, it is a module that is safe to install and use. Once downloaded onto the program, adsmsrv.exe is advisable to remain running in the background and must not be terminated or stopped, unless it is causing problems or errors that greatly or partly affect the performance of the system, or infected by a virus, worm or Trojan horse. Also, adsmsrv.exe is a Windows file, which suggests that it works with most or all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, or called as Windows OS, including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. adsmsrv.exe. is used by ASUS Data Security Manager or ADSMSrv, If you shut down adsmsrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop adsmsrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ASUS Data Security Manager or ADSMSrv, from your system.
