The file adobelmsvc.exe is an activation process also known as Adobe System Level Service Utility developed by Adobe that is necessary in activating or copying of protected file that has been loaded in a Web browser. It is installed with Adobe application as part of Macrovision software, protection software and license management software. The adobelmsvc.exe is part of Adobe LM Service that houses all Adobe software products. If the system is running with Adobe products, Adobe LM Service detects a hardware change and then, it may temporarily disable the Adobe software unless registration keys for the products have been re-entered and submitted to Adobe. This file is executed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Systems Shared\Service\Adobelmsvc.exe. It has no tray icon and is not in the system tray and this process cannot be disabled and will be reenabled when one of their products will be used. Uninstalling the Adobe software will completely remove the Adobe LM Service but there will be an Invalid registry entries on your system and will accumulate over time once the application is uninstalled. Adobelmsvc.exe startup entry is installed as a Windows service with Adobe LM Service and its Sevice Display Name. In order to benefit from its functionality, the program is required to run on startup.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. adobelmsvc.exe. is used by Adobe, If you shut down adobelmsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop adobelmsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Adobe, from your system.
