The ad-awareadmin.exe is a process, a part of Ad-Aware Admin Application by Lavasoft Limited who developed the anti-spyware and anti-virus program that enables detection and removal of spyware, adware, and malware in the computer of the user. It also detects computer viruses, Trojans, dialers, rootkits, bots, aggressive advertising, data miners, browser hijackers, parasites, and tracking components. The ad-awareadmin.exe is loaded into the computer system everytime the user logs or when the Windows is booted and runs in the background and the Scheduled Tasks can be configured and run.The process is usually associated with the name identified as C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\Ad-Aware Update (Weekly).job. It is typically located in C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\Ad-awareadmin.exe and runs on Windows XP Professional (5.1.2600.196608) operating system. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ad-awareadmin.exe. is used by Lavasoft, If you shut down ad-awareadmin.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ad-awareadmin.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lavasoft, from your system.
