This acedrv11.sys file can be found in the folder of C:\Windows\System32\Drivers where it is usually located. This is an executable file which loads upon Windows startup. ProtectDisc functions as a computer driver which allows a device to communicate or interconnect with other devices and hardware attached to it. ProtectDisc has a file size of 277,544 bytes on 30% in most occasions among the operating systems, Windows 7 and Windows XP. This program file is not visible making it vulnerable to possible virus or malware imitations. It is also not recognized as a Windows core file meaning it can take up disk space on a computer’s memory. If this program causes issues on a computer’s overall performance, the user can choose to uninstall or disable it. ProtectDisc has gained a technical security rating of 34% dangerous to a computer’s system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. acedrv11.sys. is used by ProtectDisc, If you shut down acedrv11.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
