This process has no visible window and is Part of Bufallo Airstation WiFi client manager. This process is also known as AirStation, developed by BUFFALO INC. This is located in the subfolder of %PROGRAMFILES%\BUFFALO\ABRECEIVER or C:\windows\system32 with a known file size of 94,208 bytes 58% of the time. It is not a Windows core file. This program detects or sends data on open ports to the Internet or Local Area Network. This process is an ordinary process utilized by the system as a launcher. This is an executable process for windows optimization and can be found running in Task Manager as “process abreceiver.exe.” This process is designed for Windows operating system to help in executing *.dll files and locating their libraries in the system memory. This is not CPU intensive file but adds up to possible exhaustion of computer resource when running with other system processes.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. abreceiver.exe. is used by AirStation, If you shut down abreceiver.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop abreceiver.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AirStation, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
