This *.dll program file is better known as Ask.com Search Assistant which belongs to the software Ask Search Assistant also called NVIDIA ForceWare Network and was developed by Ask.com. This acts as a Browser Helper Object (BHO) that runs automatically as the user starts the internet browser. Because it is a BHO, it cannot be stopped or disabled by the computer firewalls since this program file it is identified as the browser itself. The a5srchas.dll file can be located in a subfolder of C:\Program Files. This program file is not considered as a Windows system file. Ask.com search is a question answering service that allows users to know and explore more information by simply typing in any questions to ask on the search box. This site is able to answer many types of questions a user may have in mind – may it be on professional or personal aspect. The best answers and result from the web then, is carried and presented to the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. a5srchas.dll. is used by Ask Search Assistant, If you shut down a5srchas.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
