My computer wont boot up after deleting a file called "gamemon.des" Asked by Aiden Walsh 2014/09/01 00:18 Crashes
i like this question 0 Like It Follow	The file was in a windows folder, and was identified as a "suspicious" by hitman pro. i removed, and i am unable to boot properly. It simply boots to a black screen. Operating System: Answer this question 1024 Add your Answer Cancel

	Hi Aiden, It looks like the gamemon.des file is a part of GameMon\'s nProtect Game Monitor service. This is an undesirable program by the looks of it. See if you can restart your computer in the Windows Safe Mode: Restart and start tapping the F8 key to access the advanced boot or startup options menu. On this screen, select and enable the Windows Safe Mode with Networking option by pressing Enter. Once you\'re in the Safe Mode, try the following: 1. Download and run security scans using programs like SuperAntiSpyware or Malwarebytes 2. Run the Windows System File Checker (SFC) scan to detect and fix problems with your Windows installation. Hi Aiden,

You can restore yourt PC to an earlier point of time by following the below steps:

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then clickSearch.)
Enter Control Panel in the search box, and tap or click Control Panel.
Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, and then tap or click Recovery.
Tap or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions.
