What is zsh.exe
The zsh.exe executable is a UNIX shell launcher of the UNIX Utilities Software for Windows. The zsh.exe executable in Windows launches the UNIX utility shell, Z shell – a complex UNIX shell. The zsh.exe functions as a command-line interpreter for shell scripting processes. This zsh.exe file was first programmed by a Princeton University student named Paul Fastad, and was named after a former Princeton University teaching assistant, Zhong Shao. Development for zsh.exe is currently being coordinated by Peter Stephenson. The zsh.exe features support for many commands frequently used by programmers, including arguments and options. The Z shell has spelling correction built-in as well as programmable command completion and history recording. The Z shell can also function as an FTP client and has a customizable interface. The zsh.exe executable is a fully compatible UNIX shell which means that it can emulate another UNIX shell, such as the Bourne shell.
