This is a Windows program classified as a system virtualization application that was designed by Colin Harrison with a set of features for implementing the X Window System into widely used versions of Microsoft Windows, such as Windows XP, Vista and 7. The xming.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable application dispatcher file of the Xming X Window System implementation tool. The xming.exe process is implemented into the Windows system upon the installation and configuration of the Xming software, which also means the xming.exe file is packaged with the installer distributions of the Xming application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. xming.exe. is used by Xming X Window System Implementation Software, If you shut down xming.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
