This is a Windows program classified as a weather forecast and news aggregator tool that was developed by AmbientWeather.Com with a set of features for parsing real time weather news and updates from the Weather Exchange Network, which is the largest free weather station community in the world. The wxex.exe process is deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the Weather Exchange software, which means users can load the Weather Exchange application unto their Windows-based systems by activating the wxex.exe file. The wxex.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Weather Exchange software, which also means the wxex.exe process is integrated into the installer distribution packages of the Weather Exchange program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. wxex.exe. is used by Ambient Weather Exchange, If you shut down wxex.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop wxex.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Ambient Weather Exchange, from your system.
