The wscript.exe process is also known as the Microsoft Windows Based Script Host was developed by the Microsoft Corporation company and it belongs as a product of the Microsoft Windows Script Host. The WSH (or Microsoft Windows Script Host) is an automation technology created for Microsoft Windows that supplies scripting abilities in comparison to batch files, only containing a broader range of supported features. Originally called the Windows Script Host, it was renamed for its second release. The wscript.exe process is associated with an identifier name of JSFile, which is a Shell Open Command that allows a program and a file extension. Upon clicking a context menu item or an icon, this association enables an application to be run in the Windows Explorer window. It is a Microsoft Windows’ language independent scripting host and it brings simple yet powerful and flexible scripting to Microsoft Windows. The wscript.exe process is a safe program and must stay intact within the computer system.
