What is  win_server.exe

Many users have reported that the win_server.exe process is an executable program file associated with a malicious application known as a variant of the Backdoor.Trojan program and the Backdoor.Poison.pg application, which are families of Trojans with spyware-like functionalities. The same user reports stated that the win_server.exe process is capable of automatically initializing on its own during system startup due to the entries and keys it can create and drop into the Windows System Registry upon its placement and execution in the Windows-based system. The win_server.exe process can then operate in the background without user consent during system runtime to scour the infected system, according to many users, for TCP/IP network ports that it can exploit and use to initiate contact with predesignated Web servers. The win_server.exe process can then download more malicious programs that can gather data and Internet browsing information from the system and the default Web browser, as stated by some users. These collected pieces of data can then be transmitted by the win_server.exe process to Web servers that are operated and managed by its authors.
