What is  wdbtnmgr.exe

WD Button Manager, or Western Digital Button Manager, is the process that gets loaded when the wdbtnmgr.exe file is executed onto the system. The process enables the button manager on the System Tray to provide users with a one-click application to launch the backup task of the WD external hard drive software. Some users have discovered that the file is essential for the proper shutdown of their external hard disk. The file usually gets installed in the System 32 subfolder of Windows. Average memory usage on RAM is 165 KB. Its standard file size is 339,968 bytes. The file is considered safe and stable. It has not been identified as a threat to system security. There were also no known reports of CPU hogging or system errors that can be linked to the wdbtnmgr.exe file. The file is not an essential startup entry so you can safely remove it from the PCs startup tasks if you do not wish for it to launch every time you open your PC and load your Operating System files.
