What is  watchdog.exe

The watchdog.exe process is the file driver for the WatchDog Parental Control program, the software that protects the computer by the restrictions according to the capacities of the Windows operating system. WatchDog monitors user online browsing activities such as using applications, sending and receiving messages via emails or chats, and by recording keystrokes and screenshots taken during the session. WatchDog has time control features for scheduling and limiting the length of time for computer usage and schedule. It has website-blocking abilities to guard the computer from harmful content, and the child’s mind from damaging adult elements. While WatchDog is able to block improper Web pages and word searches by URL, watchdog.exe is compatible with all operating systems and the recorded online sessions can be viewed from versions of browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer 7, AOL Explorer, Opera, Netscape, and Avant, which can be scheduled on daily or weekly basis and so on.

How can I stop watchdog.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. watchdog.exe. is used by WatchDog Parental Controls, If you shut down watchdog.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop watchdog.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is WatchDog Parental Controls, from your system.
