What is  vmware-hostd.exe

VMware Workstation and VMware Server contain the vmware-hosted.exe file among several other executable file. The vmware-hosted.exe file launches the software and displays its capabilities which will provide the users with features to call on. VMware Workstation is a hypervisor that can run on multiple computer terminals. The EXE file allows the Workstation software to maintain bridging in the existing host network adaptors. It also share disk drives and USB devices with a virtual machine. A virtual machine is a tool for running different operating systems. Moreover, it can simulate disk drives. VMware Workstation is designed for software developers, testers and business IT professionals. It runs several operating systems using one computer simultaneously. The mobile virtual machines are fully networked and a number of platforms are compatible with these machines such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, NetWare and Solarisx86. The vmware-hosted.exe file enables VMware Workstation to perform efficiently, optimize the memory of the system and control settings and snapshots taken.
