The process vcperfservice.exe, or VAIO Care Performance Service, is a type of an executable or EXE file, and a part of the software product called VAIO Care, which is developed by Sony Corporation. The VAIO Care program is pre-installed on Sony VAIO laptops, and manufactured to help a user maintain and update his or her computer. This mainly features assistance and guidance regarding troubleshooting, system tune-up, configuration tools, and updates. With the VAIO Care Performance Service as a component, vcperfservice.exe is an essential module that needs to continue running as a background service on the computer. This file is also considered a Windows process, which means it is installable and compatible with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including new or later versions, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME. Since the program that houses the file is already included on the computer, vcperfservice.exe automatically runs during the Windows startup.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vcperfservice.exe. is used by VAIO Care, If you shut down vcperfservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop vcperfservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is VAIO Care, from your system.
