The vc.exe process is an executable file that refers to as Acer Video Quality Enhancement, which is basically a part of the Acer Video Conference Manager program, and is developed by Acer Incorporated for Acer laptops. Also known as VCM, Acer Video Conference Manager is designed as a pre-installed program on many models of Acer Aspire One notebooks and laptops. There are several functions of the VCM application, which mainly include the enhancement of video conferencing through Instant Messenger, and the functionality to enable sharing of photos, documents and even screen. Since vc.exe is called as Acer Video Quality Enhancement, this particular file is the most essential component of Acer VCM. It provides good quality of video during conferencing via Windows Live Messenger, Skype, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and other messenger software that is compatible with Acer VCM. Because of its primary task, vc.exe is an important tool that must be retained stored on the computer system and running in the background.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vc.exe. is used by Acer Video Conference Manager, If you shut down vc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
