The uiucu.exe file is an executable process for Universal Device Install Application, a software developed by Conexant Systems, Incorporated for the Conexant Communications Hardware. Conexant Systems is a leading semiconductor company that develops software for imaging, MFP or multi-functional printer, SoCs for inkjet, laser printers, photo solutions, embedded modems, audio, video surveillance programs, and other imaging applications. The company specializes in wireline voice and data utility on the Internet, cordless devices, wireless cellular telephony systems, imaging communications equipments, personal imaging, emerging cable and all other wireless broadband networks. Conexant Systems also offers a package solutions for online frame and display devices and appliances used in broad ranges of video and audio, telephony, and other digital signage applications. Conexant Systems implements audio products like high definition solutions for the computer market, high quality audio codecs, speakers-on-a-chip, and other voice-enabled appliances such as computers, peripheral sound systems, speakers, audio subsystems, notebook docking stations, intercoms, VoIP speakerphones, door phones, and audio-enabled video surveillance systems.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. uiucu.exe. is used by Install/Uninstall Conexant Universal Device, If you shut down uiucu.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop uiucu.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Install/Uninstall Conexant Universal Device, from your system.
