What is  uagqecsvc.exe

The uagqecsvc.exe process is the file that runs the Unified Access Gateway (UAG), the reverse proxy and VPN program in the Microsoft Forefront. It provides a secure remote access to a computer within a network. Released in 2012, UAG is the successor for the Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG), a VPN-like technology which provides seamless access to organizational networks. Uagqecsvc.exe provides SSL or secure socket layer, Web application firewall, security management, and a virtual private network (VPN) that enables authorization, access control, and content inspection over a variety of business applications. UAG specializes in enhanced portal for Web applications such as intranet, web-based email, and full access to SSL VPN networks using ActiveX (for Internet Explorer) and Java components (for Firefox, Opera, and non-Windows clients such as Mac OS or Red Hat) with compliance checks prior to allowing access such as domain name, running processes, or antivirus dates. Uagqecsvc.exe comes in installable DVDs on Windows Server 2008 R2.
