The process file tsnp2std.exe appears to be related to digital cameras and webcams, as pointed out by users who found the file installed into their computers after thy installed the driver for their digital devices. Not much is known about the file, except that it enables the computer to recognize digital cameras and webcams, thereby allowing them to run on the computer whenever an application for them is launched. The software that installs it is from Sonix. The file’s default location is C:\Windows, with a command line of C:\Windows\ tsnp2std.exe. However, some users find the file installed in a subfolder under Program Files. If the file is saved on either one of these locations, they are generally regarded as safe. According to some users, their laptops came installed with the file already, to enable them to launch the webcam integrated into their machines; while others installed the file manually. The file provides support for internal and external digital devices, and therefore, disabling it is not recommended.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tsnp2std.exe. is used by Sonix, If you shut down tsnp2std.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
