The surveyor.exe file is a process that belongs to the Compaq Survey Utility service. It is a reporting instrument that presents an up-to-date and inclusive report on the configuration of the server’s operating system and hardware. The service is found on Compaq ProLiant and ProSignia servers that operate on NT4, and is also offered for Netware. Developed by Compaq Computer Corp. (Hewlett Packard), it is also available for servers that use Microsoft suites (including Microsoft Windows NT). It is also known as Hewlett-Packard Survey Service. Surveyor.exe is the utility’s that gathers data and is able to document input, in contrast to survey.exe, which comprises the user interface. It has been found to have conflicts with drivers from Intel Hardware. This non-system process may be found in C:\Program Files and is not essential for Windows. There is no digital signature for this file.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. surveyor.exe. is used by Compaq Survey Utility Service Module, If you shut down surveyor.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop surveyor.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Compaq Survey Utility Service Module, from your system.
