The sttray64.exe process is also known as IDT PC Audio or IDT PC Audio TPE or also IDT Audio system tray application. It is owned by IDT. It is a non-system process since it comes from the user’s installation of an application within his or her computer system. Applications often store date within the user’s system registry. Non-system processes can be stopped from running since they are not the ones mainly involved in operating the user’s computer system. This process improves the audio quality of the computer system, however, it is mostly recommended when the user is using a laptop. A reboot is required once the IDT PC Audio is turned off in order to restore it back and make it work again. This file is considered to be safe by user and does not pose any potential risk to the computer system. However, cautionary measures must be exercise in order to maintain the functionality of the process.
