Sigmatel Audio System Tray Icon is included in your System Tray when you install the stsystra.exe file on your PC. This file has the sole responsibility of giving you an icon for the configuration settings for your Sigmatel audio cards. The icon serves as your shortcut, easy access to the settings options. Other than this primary function, the file serves no other purpose. You may therefore disable it so it will not execute when you start the computer and the system files load. A number of users deem the file as an unnecessary additional startup item that they can do without; therefore, disabling it from startup was a most popular choice among users. Disk image directory is usually C:\Windows\stsystra.exe. Startup name is SigmatelSysTrayApp. The file comes in several versions, which determine file size and image hashes. For file version 1.0.4889.0 nd375 cp1, file size is 404 KB. Image hashes are: MD5 - 35643c90b523a7e5602b9a3bdb1d2f60, and SHA-1 - 339a33e95b103577831d1313c77fd1dec4e64b4f.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. stsystra.exe. is used by Sigmatel System Tray Icon, If you shut down stsystra.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop stsystra.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sigmatel System Tray Icon, from your system.
