Developed by Valve Corporation, steamservice.exe is the executable file for Steam Client Service. More known as Steam, steamservice.exe is a digital distribution, multiplayer platform, and rights management. Valve distributes games and related programs online. Valve’s primary service is providing users downloadable games and related software in the virtual environment software library to local computers. Valve provides digital media rights management (DRM) designed for software product titles and providing customized generation for executable files which are unique for individual user. Valve has over 2,000 different game titles from Action to Puzzle to Indie and all other variations in-between. Exclusive deals and automatic updates are offered among other great perks. An American game developer and digital media distributing company, Valve Corporation is known for its successful, high-end, and critically acclaimed products like Half-Life. Valve is also known for Steam, a social-distribution network. Recently, the release of Source engine got an enthusiastic response from consumers and has since been used in major products.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. steamservice.exe. is used by Steam Client Service, If you shut down steamservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop steamservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Steam Client Service, from your system.
